Maia Mizuki, a girl living in the sea-top city of Kamchatka, aspires to become an elite Marine Agency officer but fails her entrance exam. Through a chance encounter, she ends up working at Nereids Kamchatka Branch, a jack-of-all-trades company. While episodes generally feature self-contained cases, the story gradually reveals the significant secret hidden in Maia's past. The 24-episode series depicts the exploits of women living determinedly in a submerged world and the mysterious origins of its heroine.
