Cardcaptor Sakura

A magical girl anime adapted from the shojo manga by CLAMP. Sakura Kinomoto, an elementary school girl, accidentally releases the magical Clow Cards sealed in her father's study. Guided by the guardian beast Kerberos, she becomes a Cardcaptor and, with help from her best friend Tomoyo Daidouji, childhood friend Syaoran Li, and her brother Touya, sets out to recapture the scattered cards. Celebrated for its blend of fantasy, delicate emotional storytelling, and elegant costumes, the show aired on NHK BS2 and strongly influenced the magical girl genre that followed.
