Romeo's Blue Skies

A World Masterpiece Theater television anime based on Lisa Tetzner's novel The Black Brothers. In the 19th century, a young Swiss boy named Romeo sells himself as a chimney sweep to pay for his father's medical treatment and is taken to Milan, where he endures harsh labor alongside other boys. There he meets his best friend Alfredo and helps form the Black Brothers, a brotherhood sworn to protect one another, in a moving story of friendship, family and dignity.
