Shin Kyojin no Hoshi

A sports anime produced by Tokyo Movie, based on the manga by Ikki Kajiwara and Noboru Kawasaki. As a direct sequel to the 1968 series, this follows Hyuma Hoshi who returns to the Yomiuri Giants as a tryout player, recovers from his injured shoulder, and trains to become a right-handed pitcher facing new rivals Katsumata and Nanjo Romeo. The series continues the legendary baseball drama of father and son across 52 episodes.
