A robot anime produced by Toei Doga (Toei Animation), based on the original work by Go Nagai and Dynamic Productions. The concluding work in the Toei/Dynamic robot trilogy after Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger. Prince Duke Fleed of planet Fleed, whose homeland was destroyed by the Vegan Empire, steals his nation's super UFO robot Grendizer and flees to Earth. Adopted by Dr. Genzo Umon as Daisuke Umon, he works on a ranch while fighting the invading Vegan Spazer beast saucers. Koji Kabuto from Mazinger Z appears as the TFO pilot. Massively popular in France, Italy, and the Middle East. 74 episodes.
