A TV Special anime produced by Toei Doga (Toei Animation), based on the Yamato Takeru legend from "Kojiki" and "Nihon Shoki." Prince Osu-no-Mikoto, later Yamato Takeru, son of Emperor Keiko, is dispatched to subdue the Kumaso and eastern barbarians. Wielding the sacred Kusanagi sword, he battles the rough deities of Mount Ibuki and the Emishi. A 90-minute single-broadcast special on Fuji TV's Nissei Family Special slot.
