FLOW is a five-member rock band featuring twin vocalists that broke into the anime music scene in 2006 with 'GO!!!,' an opening theme for the TV anime 'NARUTO,' and has remained a mainstay of anisong ever since. Their notable works include the NARUTO franchise, 'Eureka Seven,' 'Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods,' 'Tales of Zestiria the X,' 'Durarara!!×2 Ketsu,' and 'Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc,' with a focus on opening themes.
A defining characteristic of FLOW is their self-contained creative process. Lyricist KOHSHI ASAKAWA (Koshi Asakawa) leads the songwriting, complemented by KEIGO HAYASHI on select tracks. Composer TAKE ASAKAWA (Takeshi Asakawa) writes the majority of the band's anime songs, forming the musical backbone of their sound. The band frequently self-arranges under the FLOW name, reflecting a strong commitment to self-production. Among external collaborators, producer Seiji Kameda stands out, crafting the rich sound on signature tracks like 'Sign.' Veteran lyricist Yukinojo Mori has also contributed lyrics to select songs.
Their bond with the NARUTO franchise is particularly iconic, with 'GO!!!,' 'Re:member,' 'Sign,' and 'Niji no Sora' among the many theme songs they have contributed to the series. The band continues to actively produce anime tie-in songs well into the 2020s, remaining beloved across generations of anime fans.
