She is best known for 'Magical Star Magical Emi', singing tracks such as 'Fushigi-iro Happiness', 'Anata Dake Dreaming' and 'Nangoku Ningyo Hime', and she returned for the follow-up 'Magical Star Magical Emi: Semishigure' with another version of 'Anata Dake Dreaming'. Her clear, luminous voice matched the fantastical, fresh tone of these works. With sparkling melodies and a tender delivery, she helped define the sound of 1980s magical-girl anime.
