The credit for supercell, the creator collective led by ryo, releasing music with the vocals of the Hatsune Miku voice synthesizer. 'Black Rock Shooter' was written after ryo was struck by illustrator huke's character design; posted to a video-sharing site, it drew an enormous response and became the starting point for the whole franchise, anime included. The TV series uses it as a theme song, where it resonates at the core of a story about solitude and conflict.
