AKINO from bless4
Artist
アキノフロムブレスフォー
AKINO from bless4 is a Japanese female vocalist who performs solo while also being a member of the sibling group bless4, a family act of four brothers and sisters raised overseas. Her powerful, soaring voice and expressive range have made her a favorite of leading anime composers, most notably Yoko Kanno, whose imaginative songwriting calls for a singer capable of carrying both grand drama and tender emotion. AKINO first left a vivid impression on the anime music scene with her performance of the opening theme for Genesis of Aquarion, the sweeping giant-robot romance that became a cult phenomenon. She returned for the sequel Aquarion EVOL, handling a suite of theme songs and insert tracks including "Kimi no Shinwa ~Aquarion Dai-ni Sho~" and "Paradoxical ZOO." Her performances give the Aquarion saga much of its mythic, emotionally charged identity. Today she remains closely associated with the franchise and continues to release music as a cherished figure among anime song fans.
