A female singer from Hiroshima, affiliated with Avex. After debuting as an enka singer she switched to pop and gained nationwide recognition with her hit 'Amairo no Kami no Otome'. With a voice combining clarity and expansiveness, she has handled theme songs across many genres, including 'ANGELUS', an opening of the feudal-era Inuyasha; 'Stay with me', the ending for the youth-baseball anime Major and Major 5th Season; 'Falco', the opening of the boys' comedy The Law of Ueki; and 'Destiny', the opening of Tezuka's adult-oriented medical drama Black Jack 21.
