Skirt is a Japanese solo project by singer-songwriter Wataru Sawabe, born in 1987. Beginning multi-track recording-based activities in 2006, he ran his own label before making his major debut on Pony Canyon in 2017, and his appeal lies in songwriting that is poppy yet shaded with something darker, paired with versatile multi-instrumental playing, alongside songwriting for other artists and incidental music work. He wrote Akari wa Tooku as the opening theme of the TV anime Futari Solo Camp, giving form to the work's solitude and tenderness.
