cadode is a Japanese "ruin-core pop unit" consisting of vocalist koshi, music producer eba, and general manager Akira Tanihara. Active in music-making since 2018, the unit has built a singular world that pairs koshi's literary, emotionally charged lyrics with eba's midsummer daydream-like, orientally flavored production. They made their major debut in 2022 with "Kaika," the first-cour ending theme for the TV anime "Summer Time Rendering," a lyrical song about youth, loss, and summer scenery that deepens the show's bittersweet, fantastical atmosphere.
