Mukai Taichi is a Japanese male singer-songwriter from Fukuoka who fuses R&B with alternative, ambient, and electronic influences, and is regarded as a pioneer who helped introduce alternative R&B into the J-pop mainstream. Gaining early recognition through SoundCloud uploads, he built his career through live performances and album releases. More recently he has also recorded under the name TAIL, continuing to refine his distinctive sound across releases that include anime tie-up songs.
