LONG SHOT PARTY is a Japanese rock band defined by its melodic, propulsive sound. Their January 2008 major-label debut single distance, chosen as an opening theme for the TV anime Naruto Shippuden, vaulted them onto the radar of a worldwide fanbase. Their third single Ano Hi Time Machine was written for the openings of Natsume's Book of Friends and its sequel Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou, becoming a signature work that complemented the warmth of the series. After a string of singles and albums alongside steady live activity, the band closed out their run at the end of 2010.
