Kumiko Mori

Kumiko Mori is a singer, TV personality, and actress from Sendai, Miyagi. After studying classical voice at Showa Academia Musicae, she trained with the Nikikai Opera Studio and pursued further studies in Milan, making her opera debut in 1982 in Suor Angelica. She later moved into musical theater, taking leading roles in Toho productions such as Nine and Les Miserables as a serious vocalist. In the TV Tokyo anime Mainichi Kaasan, based on the manga by Rieko Saibara, she voiced the lead mother character Rieko Kamohara and performed the opening theme Mainichi Kaasan, painting daily family life in rich, warm tones.
