Artist

Billiken is a male duo composed of Takahiro Miyano (Billy) and Ken Okuda (Ken). Working in a self-styled hip-folk fusion of hip-hop and folk, they took their name from the Billiken statue at Osaka's Tsutenkaku tower combined with their personal nicknames. For the TV anime Mainichi Kaasan, they handled multiple theme songs across the run, including the opening tracks Aruite Yukou and Kaze ga Fuku Oka and the endings Kaasan no Senaka and Omamori Kasa. Their warm folk melodies threaded with rap verses gave a steady musical voice to the family slice-of-life that defines the show.
