Kyoko is best known as the front woman of BARBEE BOYS, a Japanese rock band that rose to popularity in the mid-1980s with a male and female twin-vocal sound backed by brass, and she has also pursued a solo career after the band's breakup. Her husky yet firm voice anchors projects such as the unit Fukumimi. In anime she has left a wide range of work, from the dark Miraikei Maruhi Club, ending of Boogiepop Phantom, to Kaze no Legends, opening of Legendz: Tale of the Dragon Kings, and Happy Birthday, theme of the theatrical Detective Conan: The Time-Bombed Skyscraper.
