dicot is a Japanese music duo formed by Kana Hayase and Shino, both from Fukuoka Prefecture. They met at Fukuoka Women's Junior College in the late 1990s and built a partnership grounded in pop songwriting and chorus work. Their anime work includes the opening theme A☆I☆TSU for the TV anime Super GALS!, set against early-2000s gal culture and depicting the friendships and romances of young women in Harajuku. With lyrics and music by Kana and arrangement by Akio Noyama, the catchy, upbeat pop-rock track adds bright, colorful energy to the show. Kana also continues to work as a solo artist under the name Hanana.
