Hitomi Mieno is a Japanese female singer, lyricist, radio personality and scriptwriter from Fukuoka Prefecture, working under the additional pen name 'Deko Akao' for her scriptwriting and broadcast-writing activities. She debuted after being recognized at a 'Mashin Hero Wataru' karaoke contest in her teens, and built a body of work tightly connected to fantasy anime. For the TV anime 'Hao Taikei Ryu Knight,' she performed the ending theme 'Hitomi ni Diamond' along with 'Run: Kyou ga Kawaru Magic' and 'Owaranai Kisetsu.' For 'Cho Mashin Hero Wataru' she contributed 'Hitotsu no Heart de,' 'POWER OF DREAM,' 'BOYS BE AMBITIOUS' and 'Ganbatte,' and for 'Hajimari no Boukensha-tachi: Legend of Crystania' she sang 'Harukana Inori' and 'Hajimari no Boukensha-tachi: Hikari no Chizu.' She also performed 'Dearest,' the opening theme of the TV anime 'I My Me! Strawberry Eggs.' She has further provided lyrics for many anime songs as a sought-after lyricist.
