Kayoko Kuroda is the singer who performed Mayonaka no Taiyou, the opening theme for the TV anime Tenchi Muyo! GXP. With lyrics by Chiaki Tani and composition and arrangement by Fuminori Iwasaki, the song coloured the opening of this spin-off of the popular Tenchi Muyo! sci-fi comedy franchise. Her vocals carried the lyrics' themes of loneliness and longing for love over a dramatic arrangement.
