Tomiko Ban is a singer from Kumamoto Prefecture widely known as the vocalist of the rock unit Do As Infinity. Scouted by avex in 1999, she formed Do As Infinity with Dai Nagao and Ryo Owatari and made their major debut with the single 'Tangerine Dream.' After the group's hiatus she moved into solo work, making her solo debut with the album 'FAREWELL' in 2006. For anime, she performed the opening theme 'manacles' for the giant-robot anime 'REIDEEN,' with lyrics co-written with sheena, composition by Jin Nakamura, and arrangement by Leo Nishikawa. A skilled vocalist who has delivered powerful yet delicate singing across many anime and drama themes since her group days, she continues to demonstrate that expressive range as a solo artist.
