Miyuki Kanbe was a Japanese singer and actress. She is best known for winning a roughly 500-applicant audition to play the third-generation Sailor Moon (Usagi Tsukino) in the 'Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon' musical. As a singer, her Pony Canyon debut single was 'Taiyou no Rakuen ~Promised Land~', the first opening theme of the TV anime 'Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch'. She also sang the later opening 'Rainbow Notes♪', coloring the shining story of the mermaids with her bright, refreshing vocals, and she additionally voiced the guest character Auri in episode 34. Beloved for her clear voice and approachable personality, she passed away suddenly in 2008 at the young age of 24. Despite her brief career, her singing voice continues to be remembered together with the theme songs of Pichi Pichi Pitch.
