MINMI is a Japanese female singer-songwriter who began her career in Osaka. Armed with light, mellow vocals rooted in reggae and hip-hop, she is known for hits such as 'Summertime!!'. In anime, she performed 'Shiki no Uta', the ending theme of the chanbara period series 'Samurai Champloo' directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, co-created with Nujabes. As a classic that fuses Japanese sentiment with hip-hop, it vividly closed out each episode's afterglow. She also sang 'Ai no Mi', the ending theme of 'Monchhichi', lending warmth to a family-oriented work with her soft voice.
