The "Rascal Does Not Dream" series is based on the novels by Hajime Kamoshida, published by KADOKAWA's Dengeki Bunko, with over 2.5 million copies in print. A coming-of-age fantasy centered on "Adolescence Syndrome" — mysterious phenomena that only occur during puberty — this film is the first of a two-part theatrical finale to the high school arc, alongside "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid." The story follows Kaede, the younger sister of Sakuta Azusagawa, as she faces her future and takes a step forward ahead of her middle school graduation.
The theme song is "Fukashigi no Karte" (Kaede Azusagawa Ver.). Directed by Soichi Masui, screenplay by Masahiro Yokotani, animation production by CloverWorks.
