The key visual depicts an anxious-looking Mai Sakurajima and Sakuta Azusagawa being led by the hand by a young girl with a school knapsack, separated by a railroad crossing. The story begins when an elementary schooler who closely resembles Mai from her child-actress days appears before Sakuta as he waits for her graduation ceremony.
The "Rascal Does Not Dream" series is based on the novels by Hajime Kamoshida (KADOKAWA, Dengeki Bunko). This is the second part of the two-part theatrical finale to the high school arc, following "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out," with the same staff returning. Directed by Soichi Masui, screenplay by Masahiro Yokotani, animation production by CloverWorks. The theme song is "Fukashigi no Karte" (All Heroine Ver.).
