Based on the manga by Ikka Matsuki serialized in Shogakukan's "Monthly! Spirits," the story is set in a near-future Japan where civilization has collapsed due to nuclear war, natural disasters, and corrupt governance. The country has split into three nations, entering an era of warring kingdoms fighting for supremacy. Seiki Mikado, once a lowly local official, sets out to reunify Japan, rising through the ranks with his vast knowledge and sharp eloquence. The legend of the man who would come to be called a genius strategist is about to begin.
Animation production is handled by Studio Kafka, with planning and production by Twin Engine. The revealed teaser visual boldly depicts the back of protagonist Seiki Mikado, expressing his determination to shoulder the burden of a collapsed Japan.
