The visual depicts the dock of the witch Roze's lakeside cottage. It captures the fleeting moment when Harijyu glances back toward Roze just before stepping into a small boat — an evocative image that hints at the beginning of their story.
A congratulatory comment has also arrived from character designer vient.

Congratulations on the anime adaptation of "Horemajo"!
I was a fan of Mutsuhana-sensei and a reader of the original novel even before I was given the opportunity to illustrate it. As I read, I would imagine what kind of characters Roze and Harijyu were, picture their home by the lake, and visualize the scenes of their conversations together.
Then, incredibly, I was given the great honor of officially bringing those mental images to life. From there, Kamada-sensei turned it into a manga, giving us an even more vivid world and the wonderful back-and-forth between Roze and Harijyu. And now, at last, an anime adaptation...!
I'm so happy that their endearingly awkward distance will now be seen in animation. I'm truly looking forward to it!
