The series is based on the popular light novel by Moriu (published by MF Books / KADOKAWA), a frequent nominee for the prestigious "Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!" rankings. Its manga adaptation has also been a hit, ranking highly on Comic Semore.
Chloe, a highly skilled operative who left her organization, begins a new life as "Victoria." In the Kingdom of Ashbury, she meets Nonna, a girl abandoned by her mother, and Jeffrey, an honest knight commander. Jeffrey becomes Victoria's guarantor after she takes Nonna in, and the three—each carrying painful pasts—gradually become irreplaceable to one another. What will become of the happiness Victoria has always dreamed of?
