The newly unveiled visual depicts three characters overlooking Lake Biwa in Shiga Prefecture under clear skies, surrounded by seagulls. With red hair flowing in the wind and captivated by the gulls is Lara (CV: Hana Hishikawa), a mermaid princess reborn in modern-day Shiga after 200 years. Reaching out to the seagulls beside her is high school boxer Mari Otsu (CV: Nana Kawaishi). And squinting against the sunlight is Luca (CV: Ayumu Murase), a boy Lara meets in Shiga. The visual carries a hopeful tone with the tagline "Not bad, this world."
A giveaway campaign using this visual has been announced, with 30 winners receiving original book cards via repost on the official X account until April 10.
Popular VTuber duo "PokoPea" collaboration has also been announced, with hints that they may be hidden somewhere in the anime itself.
Episode 1 preview scenes are available for a limited time on YouTube until May 6.
