Based on the high-fantasy action manga by Fujino Omori and Toshi Aoi, serialized in Kodansha's Magazine Pocket, the series follows Will, a magic-school student who cannot use magic yet aims for the summit known as the Magus by fighting with a sword. Season 2 opens a new chapter as Will faces even greater foes and trials. Animation production is handled by BN Pictures and Actas, with Tatsuya Yoshihara as chief director and Hideaki Nakano as director.
