Set in the fictional kingdom of Gekkakoku, where herbal decoctions dominate medical practice, "Gekkakoku Kiiden" follows Koyo — a young girl unusually skilled in surgical techniques such as suturing — whose chance encounter with Crown Prince Keiun sets off a slapstick court-medicine comedy. The original manga, published in KADOKAWA's "Asuka Comics DX" imprint, is currently on sale through volume 15.
