The teaser visual, drawn by character designer Hisao Ishii, depicts the relationship between princess knight Alwin and her kept man Matthew, connected by a red string like a thread of fate. The tagline reads: "This relationship — handle with care."
The teaser PV showcases the atmosphere of the labyrinth city "Grey Neighbor," the story's setting, and offers glimpses of the contrasting personalities of the easygoing protagonist Matthew and the serious, proud Alwin.

Matthew (CV: Junichi Suwabe)
A so-called kept man who is so weak in fights that even women and children could beat him, spending money from Alwin at brothels. His sharp tongue has earned him the nickname "Wisecrack." He has a carefree personality and rarely speaks of his past, with few knowing his history. He is prepared to do anything, no matter how dirty, for Alwin's sake.
Alwin (CV: Mikako Komatsu)
The princess of the Mactaroad Kingdom, which was destroyed by monsters. She now leads the adventurer party "Aegis" in search of the omnipotent substance "Star-Life Crystal" to restore her kingdom. Respected as the "Crimson Princess Knight" for her noble purpose and way of life, she possesses combat prowess that can overwhelm multiple ordinary adventurers. For some reason, she keeps Matthew as her dependent.

The light novel "The Kept Man of the Princess Knight" is available from Dengeki Bunko with volumes 1-6 on sale, and volume 7 releasing on July 10, 2026. A manga adaptation is also serialized on Kadocomi and Niconico Manga via Dengeki Comics NEXT.
