A complete new anime adaptation of the classic "YAIBA" with 17 million copies in circulation, with original creator Gosho Aoyama fully supervising the scripts. A comedy action series following jungle-raised boy Yaiba Kurogane as he aims to become the greatest samurai, battling rival Takeshi Onimaru over the demon swords "Raijinken" and "Fujinken." Its broadcast in the time slot just before "Detective Conan" drew considerable attention.
