A TV anime (13 episodes) produced by Bernox Films. Based on the manga by Shun Umezawa serialized in Kodansha's "Monthly Afternoon," with over 2.2 million copies in circulation (as of December 2025). Winner of the Manga Taisho 2022 Grand Prize and the Excellence Award in the Manga Division of the 25th Japan Media Arts Festival. A socially conscious human drama about Charlie, a "humanzee" boy born between a human and a chimpanzee, who starts attending school for the first time while being targeted by the animal liberation terrorist organization ALA, confronting questions of justice and the meaning of life.
