Hyakkiyakou Shou is a short anime produced by Imagica Infos, based on the manga by Ichiko Ima. Serialization began in 1995 in Asahi Sonorama's Nemuki, currently continuing in Asahi Shimbun Publications' Nemuki+. With over 7 million copies in circulation, it won the Excellence Award at the 10th Japan Media Arts Festival manga division. College student Ritsu Iijima has possessed the mysterious ability to communicate with spirits since childhood. Protecting him from supernatural trouble is Seiran, a powerful yokai who once served his late grandfather. A supernatural horror-suspense series where encounters with various yokai draw Ritsu and his family into mysterious incidents, with each episode largely self-contained and incorporating mystery elements.
