Sayonara Lala is an original TV anime produced by Kinema Citrus as their 15th anniversary commemorative work. A story inspired by the fairy tale "The Little Mermaid." Long ago, mermaid princess Lala fell in love with a human prince and took a potion from the witch Grace to become human. But the forbidden potion would turn her to foam if she failed to find "true love." Unable to fulfill her wish, Lala dissolved into the sea — only to be revived 200 years later in Lake Biwa. This time, she sets out to find "true love" for real. Her story begins when she meets high schooler Mari Otsu. Directed by Takushi Koide with series composition by Anna Kawahara, character design by Shiori Tani, and music by yuma yamaguchi.
