In a modern society where the existence of those with supernatural abilities is kept secret, Xuan Ji -- a guardian of the Crimson Abyss flames -- joins the 'Counter-Anomaly Center,' a self-governing organization that handles paranormal incidents, and is assigned to the case of the resurrected Sheng Lingyuan, causing the fates of the two to intertwine. A fantasy work distinguished by its grand world-building and meticulous settings, the story unfolds on an epic scale that moves between ancient times and the present. The OP theme is 'Rekka' by FLOW, and the ED theme is 'Koe no Kakera' by Rei Yasuda.
