An anime adaptation of the 'Public School Arc' from Yana Toboso's popular dark fantasy series. Ciel, the young head of the prestigious Phantomhive noble family, and his demon butler Sebastian infiltrate the elite boarding school Weston College on orders from the Queen. As they investigate the disappearance of several students who have lost contact with the outside world, the darkness hidden within the school gradually comes to light. The OP theme is 'Kyoushinja no Parade - The Parade of Battlers' by Otoha, who is herself a devoted fan of the series, while the ED theme 'Shokuzai' by SID, who have long accompanied the franchise, bolsters the story's weighty atmosphere.
