Set in a world where a massive extraterrestrial vessel called the 'mothership' has appeared above Tokyo, the series follows the daily lives of high school girls Kadode Koyama and her best friend Ouran Nakagawa (Ontan). Its distinctive worldview, where the absurdity of a society that has normalized coexistence with invaders intersects with the irreplaceable friendship between the girls, stands out, and a different ending from the theatrical version has been prepared.
