A theatrical anime based on the novel by Kazumi Takayama, former member of Nogizaka46. It depicts the struggles of protagonist Yu Higashi, who devises a unique strategy to fulfill her dream of becoming an idol: assembling beautiful girls from each cardinal direction to form a unit. A coming-of-age ensemble drama unfolds as she grapples with passion for her dream, friction with her companions, and the gap between ideals and reality. The theme song is 'Nanmonai feat. Hoshimachi Suisei, sakuma.' by MAISONdes, and the ED theme is 'Houi Jishin,' with lyrics by original author Kazumi Takayama, performed by the four cast members representing east, west, south, and north.
