A TV anime produced by david production, based on the manga by Rumiko Takahashi serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday (1978-1987, 34 volumes). The series has sold over 35 million copies. The 2022 version adapts selected episodes from the original as a completely new production. Womanizing high schooler Ataru Moroboshi is chosen as Earth's representative in a game of tag against invading aliens. He wins by grabbing the horns of Lum, the alien princess, but she mistakes his words for a marriage proposal and moves in as his "Darling." Aired from October 2022 to March 2023 (Season 1, 23 episodes, Fuji TV "Noitamina" block). Cast includes Hiroshi Kamiya as Ataru and Sumire Uesaka as Lum.
