A remake of the original "Space Battleship Yamato" first series, which aired in 1974 on Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV and became a cultural phenomenon. Produced 38 years later with entirely new animation as a TV series. Advance event screenings were also held at 10 theaters nationwide starting April 7, 2012.
