Based on Kentaro Katayama's light novel, this Brains Base production follows Shinkuro Kurenai, a high school student who works as a dispute mediator. He is entrusted with protecting Murasaki, the seven-year-old daughter of the powerful Kuhouin family. As Shinkuro begins an unlikely cohabitation with the sheltered but curious young girl in his modest apartment, agents from the Kuhouin family close in to reclaim her. Shinkuro must confront the dark secrets behind the Kuhouin household and face his own troubled past. The 12-episode series is notable for its distinctive atmosphere blending everyday life with danger, and its nuanced character development.
