Set in the fictional postwar Japanese city of Otomo, freelance journalist Hayato Mikogami pursues the mysterious "Skull Man," a skull-masked figure behind a string of murders. As his investigation deepens, he uncovers conspiracies involving a giant pharmaceutical company, a new religious organization, and superhuman weapon development. Animated by Bones, bringing Ishinomori's work—the precursor to Kamen Rider—to life in a dark, hardboiled style across 13 episodes.
