CLANNAD is a TV anime adaptation of the romance adventure game by Key/Visual Art's, produced by Kyoto Animation. Aired from October 2007 to March 2008 on TBS and other networks for 23 episodes. Set at Hikarizaka High School, the story follows protagonist Tomoya Okazaki as he forms bonds with various heroines, especially the frail Nagisa Furukawa. Directed by Tatsuya Ishihara, the series weaves comedy and emotion around themes of family bonds and human connection.
