A school comedy anime produced by Madhouse, based on the manga by Kozueko Morimoto serialized in Shueisha's YOU magazine. Kumiko Yamaguchi (nicknamed "Yankumi"), the heir to the Oedo yakuza family who works as a high school teacher, is assigned to Class 3-D at Shirokin Academy, a class full of delinquents. She confronts her students with unconventional teaching methods. The title is short for "Gokudo Sensei" (Yakuza Teacher), and the refreshing school comedy arises from the contradiction between her gangster lineage and her role as an educator. Faithfully reflecting the original manga's character, the 17-episode series depicts her bonds and misadventures with students.
