A superhero gag comedy adapted from Hiroshi Gamo's manga, produced by Studio Pierrot and directed by Osamu Nabeshima for TV Tokyo. Yoichi Oteuchi, the unluckiest middle-schooler in Japan, merges with the bizarre spaceborne hero Luckyman and is transformed into a hero whose sole weapon is good luck itself. Together with the likes of Effort Man, Courage Man, Hot-Blood Man and Justice Man, he defends Earth from waves of invading aliens and villains, in a madcap parody packed with send-ups of shonen manga tropes.
