Hemenway is a Japanese rock band formed by members who met while studying at Berklee College of Music in the United States. Their sound is characterized by a refined, international flavor that weaves together English and Japanese lyrics, built on polished musicianship and a strong sense of melody. The group has made their mark on the anime music scene as well, performing By My Side, an ending theme for Naruto Shippuden, along with Start Kakumei, the opening theme for Duel Masters Victory V3. Their ability to move between styles and languages, combined with their background in formal music training, gives their songs a distinctive sheen that sets them apart in the rock scene while still fitting comfortably within the energetic context of anime theme music.
