Hemenway is a Japanese rock band formed by four members who met while studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Their sound is characterized by polished, internationally informed musicianship that weaves English and Japanese lyrics together, giving their work a distinctive depth. They are widely known for By My Side, an ending theme for Naruto Shippuden, a heartfelt song expressing the earnest wish to keep someone dear close by. They also performed Start Kakumei, the opening theme of Duel Masters Victory V3, showing their ability to move across genres and support the worldviews of very different anime works through their music.
