μ's is the in-show school idol group born out of the TV anime Love Live!, made up of nine students at Otonokizaka High School who band together to save their school from closure. In the real world, the group is equally well known as a voice-actress unit consisting of the nine performers who play the characters, and they release music and perform live concerts fully in character. Their song catalog forms the musical backbone of the entire franchise. Highlights include "Bokura wa Ima no Naka de," which served as the opening theme of the first TV season, the tender ending theme "Kitto Seishun ga Kikoeru," and the fan-favorite "Bokura no LIVE Kimi to no LIFE," the very first single that introduced the group. Together these songs established the emotional, anthemic sound that would come to define Love Live! and helped spark the franchise's explosive popularity. μ's's reach extended far beyond the screen and transformed the landscape of voice-actress idol projects.
